Wise Counsel "Listen now to me and I will give you some advice, and may God be with you. You must be the people’s representative before God and bring their disputes to him" - Exodus 18:19 (NIV) Every good leader needs someone who can advise him. There is an old adage which says 'He who cannot be counseled cannot be helped' and one that says, "He that asks for direction will not go missing" If we are to be guided aright then we must be people given to good counsel. The Scripture teaches that in the multitude of counsel there is safety! (Proverbs 11:14, 24:6) But note the following; Listen - Listening means to be attentive with the intent to comprehend and understand what is being heard. It means to be willing to yield to instruction. We must have listening ears. The Voice -  It is not enough to listen. Who are you listening to? Moses listened to Jethro, a man of experience and good intention. Listening to a fool will only bring shame and distraction, ...

Journey Into Purpose So he left Judea and went back once more to Galilee. Stir The Atmosphere Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. TWO students of the University of Port Harcourt were on Monday feared killed during a protest over an alleged policy by the management of the institution that school fees must be paid before they would be allowed to take their first semester examinations. One of the students identified as Peter Ofurun, who was said to have been hit by a bullet from a policeman, died instantly. Another student also hit by a bullet was rushed to the hospital, even as sources claimed that she died on the way to the hospital. The UNIPORT students’ protest had halted academic and administrative activities in the institution as they demanded that the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Lale, should address them and reverse the policy Ofurun was a student in the Faculty of Management Science before he met his untimely death. Godwin Isenyo, Kaduna The Kaduna State Government on Monday said that 347 corpses were given a mass burial at the Mando cemetery after a clash between soldiers and members of the Shiite’s sect in Kaduna last year. The Secretary to the Kaduna State Government, Mallam Balarabe Lawal, who said this when he appeared before the Judicial Commission of Inquiry, said the corpses were given a mass burial in a grave on December 14, 2015 in a cemetery along Mando/ Zaria Road. According to the SSG, a total of 191 unknown corpses were recovered from the Army Depot in Zaria and another batch of 156 corpses were recovered from the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika. Corroborating the SSG, the Director-General of Interfaith, Muhammad Namadi Musa, who claimed he supervised the burial, said the corpses were interred between 12 midnight and 5am.
